![]() So really, I hope the devs step up the game and start bug-fixing or I am bailing out on the game as soon as there's a better alternative. The RealTone cable on the other hand seems to be of a shoddy build and costs more than equivalent stuff would. They can use whatever they like, but the DualShock ones tend to by of a good quality so a lot of people don't bother. No-one is required to buy PlayStation DualShock controllers for the ps3. The cable is proprietary hardware and no different than controllers. I hope they step up their game before someone makes a rip-off that's better. The game is buggy as fuck and still has a lot of poor design decisions(mirrored strings as default instead of tab? It's nearly like they're trying to make it hard for beginners so they never decide to try to learn from tabs.) That being said, it's a great idea with a mediocre implementation. I bought the game with the cable and all. ![]() Rocksmith Note Guide (aka what is this symbol?) See how you Rank Worldwide with Rocksmith Buddy! Rocksmith+ is a follow-up to the original Rocksmith franchise, with a major change to a subscription-based music education service. It dynamically adjusts the difficulty to your skill level, then slowly introduces more notes and phrases until you’re playing your favorite songs note-for-note. Thanks for all your suggestions, anyway.Rocksmith is a music video game series which aims to teach guitar by letting you plug in virtually any guitar or bass and becomes your personal guitar teacher as it monitors how you play. It's possible static discharge killed my cable. A couple of times when I've grabbed my guitar off the stand, I've gotten an ESD shock. I had the same issue on that machine so, it looks like I have a bad cable, unfortunately. Just thought I'd see if anyone here had some ideas before I contact Ubisoft, which I expect to be a drawn out, irritating process.ĮDIT: I dragged my XBox 360 out of the closet and tried the cable with the original version of Rocksmith. But, then after a happy dance, I went to the other room to get a beer, and it wasn't working when I got back. Second, I did get it to work once briefly after a full power cycle on the computer. So, the cable is passing the signal on some level. it won't let me proceed past low E but, sometimes (not always) I can still see the animated sound waves coming from the amp when I strum. First, because sometimes when I'm on the tuning screen, there is no sound from the strings. The next logical guess would be the cable itself but, while I'm not ruling that out, I don't really believe that is the culprit for a couple of reasons. ![]() According to the logs, it doesn't appear that Windows has installed some new USB driver that I'm not aware of so, I don't think anything has changed there. Since the issue arose I haven't been able to get it to work on either. I've gotten it to work with both USB 2 & 3 in the past but, 2.0 has always been more reliable so, that's the one I use. I even tried a different guitar, and both guitars work with an amp. I've checked volume knobs and all that stuff. The cable is detected but, there's no sound from the guitar. Suddenly a couple of days ago, I encountered this problem, and haven't been able to get it to work since. I've been using Rocksmith for a month or so with few issues.
